Well-known German folk song, polyphonic arranged for overtone singing, medium degree of difficulty with predominantly fifth and fourth jumps in the basic voice.

Originally written by Franz Schubert for his cycle Winterreise under the title Der Lindenbaum, it was adapted by Friedrich Silcher with a slightly modified melody to the folk song. For that version the title Am Brunnen vor dem Tore has become established.
