OVERTONE SINGING is the art of singing two tones simultaneously – an amazing effect that never ceases to impress listeners. But it is much more than merely an effect. Overtones are the original music of the universe, existing in
creation even before anything else existed. Overtones are mirroring the original law of harmonic vibration, which was the source of awe for the greatest minds of
all ages. Among others Pythagoras was studying its laws. This Music of the Source itself is already built into our body and our vocal cords. We only need to let
go of the superficial and let the tone develop on its own accord by welcoming it with the most naturally given movements of our singing apparatus.
Discovering the resonance in your own body satisfies the deep ancient longing
for wholeness and generates an inexplicable intimacy with the new sounds. Your ears suddenly open wide and you discover the whole world is sound.
Overtones have the capability to synchronize your brain activity and activate new pathways in the brain, so get ready for the adventure of opening to the whole new
perception of the world, brought by through the fascinating sounds of your own overtones!

WOLFGANG SAUS - GERMANY
WOLFGANG SAUS is a scientist and an artist in same person, a researcher and
a singer with a brilliant mind, an open heart and a warm quality to his voice. With a curiosity of a scientist he is researching the still mostly unexplored field of
overtone singing, which he brings to life in concerts all over Europe and beyond. With his pedagogical sensitivity and systematical approach he successfully
teaches even the most complex overtone singing techniques to anyone. With his esoteric knowledge he helps open your breath and find a new sense of Self in singing.
He is one of the few professional overtone singers in Europe whose unusual voice deeply touches his audience. He worked with musicians like Gidon Kremer and under conductors like George Prêtre, Helmut Rilling and Anders Eby. With
his preference for contemporary music he received already at the beginning of the eighties an opera performance contract at the municipal theater Aix-la-chapelle and was engaged by chamber choirs Europe-wide to international
competitions, tours and numerous broadcast and CD recordings. He deepened his studies of ensemble singing by further educations, for example with the King’s Singers from Cambridge. His classically trained voice is just as at home
in the contemporary and experimental music as in the traditions of Byzantine and Gregorian chant. His unique and unmistakable music style requires the unusual
and difficult vocal technique of polyphonic overtone singing which makes it possible for him to control two independent melodies at the same time. Wolfgang Saus is regarded as a worldwide leading expert of this technique
which only is mastered by a handful's people. Several composers wrote works especially for his voice skills. If his substantial musical work allows it, he passes
his experiences on at home and abroad in lectures at universities, seats of learning and schools. He gives workshops for professional musicians and interested laymen as well as further educations for doctors, therapists and non
-medical practitioners, choirmasters, speakers and teachers. His reference book "overtone singing" was published in the Traumzeit publishing house in 2004. His
instructional DVD that followed has been widely accepted as the best teaching tool for overtone singing.
